TGIF
Blah!
That’s just how I feel right now. I woke up feeling full and hungry all at once. It’s the oddest sensation I tell you. I am sure this will pass.
On to less disgusting topics.
My condo is still not sold, which sort of mirrors the fact that my house construction has still not started. Although we did have some good news that will help us sell the condo this last week and that was that the condo across the street sold. Yeah weee! Someone else’s place sold that wasn’t ours. Even though this doesn’t sound like a win for us, it is. The other condo was vacant and thus had that unlived in cleanness that we lack. Now don’t get me wrong our condo is clean when we show it but not to the degree that you get when no one is living there. Out of the remaining condo’s for sale in our area ours is now the nicest.
The house is still just a heap of mud. This is because it has snowed or rained a lot here in the last few months and it never gets warm enough for the ground to dry out. They have to dig the basement first and they can’t do that if it will just collapse on itself. So far all we have is pink sticks in the yard that mark where our house should be.
In gaming news… My Exalted site is still not updated. I want to start again… lord knows I have a lot of things to put on there. I however need to reload photoshop and frontpage on this PC (Work) to do it. The sight isn’t built in Frontpage, however I do use that to upload files to my webspace. I really want to get a copy of Frontpage 2004 (or 2003 or what ever the newest version is called) It has some features in it that I would really like to try out. The sad thing is I have some web building software at home that is really supposed to kick ass… and I have never loaded it. Hell I can’t even remember the name of it as its been over a year since I got it. I have a number of new character sheets to update, some artifacts to upload and a lot of pages to convert over from the old style of the site to the new style.
More gaming news. We played D&D last night. It was a pretty good time, and I am happy to say that is pretty much the norm with D&D any more. Sadly we are almost done with this module, but there are more. The thing is with us starting a season of Blood Bowl next week that will put our none bloodbowl weeks at only twice a month, so we have to make some hard choices. Do we continue with D&D or Exalted. Now my suggestion was that we do Exalted, and I know this had to sound selfish because I am the one running it. My reason, Brent only plays Exalted with us so if we stop for now that cuts him out. That was countered that some players only play D&D, but that’s not true, because they also play in the blood bowl league. Anyhow we choose to go with D&D over Exalted because with D&D we can more safely say when that game will end. Or rather we will have a better stopping out with the end of the module.
With Exalted its hard to say how many sessions it will take to complete because some times something I think will just be a foot note in the story turns into the whole session. The Characters are getting to a spot where they are going to have to choose what they think will complete their mission the best, be best for them and their Great House (Iselsi). They are pressed with the choice of attempting to kill the sitting ruler of a nation and hope that they succeed or just keep pressing forward with the plan and working with this same ruler. One thing I have found interesting about this group however is how focused that seem on the task at hand. Even with the River Providences under attack from the forces of the Mask of Winters and Lookshy taking a big hit with the fall of the Murakan Capital they have not given the bigger picture a second thought. And with their ring leader back on the Blessed Isle missing (Assumed to be Arrested) they have not even talked about what this could mean. I wonder if the Realms Civil war will get their attention or not. Its reading 11:59 on the Civil Wars Dooms Day clock… and that second hand is moving fast :)
