Website of the day 4/30/04
www.johnkerryisadouchebagbutimvotingforhimanyway.com/
While I agree he is a douche bag, I don't agree people should vote for him anyway. People should vote for the person that they want to see in the White House. People should not vote for one person to keep another person out of Office. We are not playing "Pick the lesser of two evils" here! Also voting straight party lines simply because its the part line shows a clear lack of the ability to think for ones self. Both Left and Right have their fair share of sheep when it comes to party lines.
If your unhappy with how Washington works then why do we keep voting in these corrupt, money grubbing puppet of "Big Business" and lobbying blocks? Why continue to support the corrupt? Why continue to help them "play politics" when its this type of thing that pisses most people off.
Now if you really believe in Kerry, then vote for him. He is a douche bag but if that's what your looking for, then go for it. And if you believe in Bush and his regime then vote for him, its your vote, spend it how you like. I personally do not like either of those choices but if you do then I feel its important to follow your heart in this.
Bottom Line: Vote how you like, not how your told.

Website of the Day 4/27/04
This is by far the funniest website I have read in a LONG LONG time. Almost everyone I have sent the link to said they got odd looks from people in their office because they were laughing so loud.

Unwanted Birthday Present
So yesterday I turned 29. Only 1 year from 30. Ugh!
Anyhow I am combing my hair this morning when I see a big white hair in my right eye brow! I can’t believe I am going white already. Not grey mind you, WHITE. I plucked that sucker. A few people told me I would get 10 more for doing that but I don’t believe in old wives tales like that.
It was a pretty pleasant birthday over all. And while I am not looking forward to next years 30th birthday, at this point it doesn’t scare me.

Jeff Free Gaming
A few weeks ago in our gaming group you had to specify which “JEFF” you were talking about because we had two in the group. Well then one Jeff bowed out of the group for personal reasons that I understand but do not agree with. Its my hope that he will still come around to hang out and maybe play board games with us. RPG’s are off his menu now though. The worst part is, I know he is gone from the group, and there isn’t any convincing him to come back. Its his choice (coerced or not) and I respect that.
That left us with one Jeff. However after an extremely stressful week for both him and his wife he has bowed out also, but only for a month or two. This Jeff just needs to get a few things in order before he can start playing with us again. Personally I think by not unwinding with us he is less likely to reach some of this goals as we all need a means to distress. Being stressed out makes everything harder. Although at this point hanging out with us may cause more stress and drama then it relieves. I hope he finds his way back soon.
So with both Jeffs gone… we now have a Jeff Free Zone. I hope it doesn’t stay like that for long.

Down PC
My main PC is down here at work. Which gives me time to catch up on my blog. I would rather be working.
At the Movies.
Requiem for a Dream: I saw this a few weeks ago. This isn’t a lot I can say about the film that will not give too much away. All the performers were at the top of their game in this film. The portrayal of drug abuse also seems to be spot on. The one quality this film seems to be totally devoid of it “hope”. There is not a shred of hope anywhere in this film. The ending left me feeling shocked and sad for the characters. Also I can not write about this film without mentioning that I felt the odd way in which it was shot really added to the realness of film. It added a layer of authenticity that you don’t get in every movie.
Over all I would say it was a good film and I would recommend it to anyone.
