Msg Board Restored
The msg board has been restored to its 03/28/05 backup. I am moving to a new HOST very soon and I will do a backup of the board just prior to the site going live on the other HOST but be warned some information posted in the next few days may or may not make it in the move.

Dakin Animal Shelter Online: "500 Dogs to Die! The greyhound track in Plainfield, CT voted on April 26th that they would discontinue greyhound racing. Unfortunately - and heartbreakingly - they've also decided that rescuers have only two weeks to get the dogs out, and any dogs remaining at the track on May 14th will be euthanized. This is a monumental task because there are at least 500 dogs currently at the track. These are all young, healthy dogs, 2-4 years of age, who would make great family pets. "

Msg Board Saga
Ok here is my sad little tale.
LONG VERSION
I had a msg board that was running 2.0.3 (Yes I know I am a bad admin for this ) and it was running just fine. I did a forum back up on 3/28/05 and then a few days later my message board started coming up as a plan blank screen. It has done this sort of thing before but normally for just a day, so I wait.
Well after a few days I write a ticket to my ISP, after about 2 weeks my ISP (Host Department) replies back. They then reload the msg board software wiping out my board, making it all shiny and new on v2.0.13. I could have done that... Anyhow I go to reload from my back up, and when I do it goes back to that blank white screen. So I reload the msg board from scratch.
I start talking to the ISP again and they said the did an upgrade (I got not warning of this) and that since phpBB was a third party program they couldnt help me. They also told me that I would be unable to use my back up because of the version difference. Then told me that I would have to fix it myself.
I am in the process of firing this ISP, btw.

Thats my problem. Possible solutions I have thought might work...
-Reloading a 2.0.3 boord, apply backup, upgrade version by version until current.
-Parse backup file to get needed content.
-Run some sort of conversion program on the backupfile to get things working.
