Rules by Claws-of-Gaia

First pick appropriate Wyld Mutations (of any level) to reflect the Beastman's parent species, these mutations may total no more than 10 points. If the Beastman has 1 to 6 points of mutations their appearance is reduced by one when dealing with anyone but Lunar Exalted or other
Beastmen of the same variety, if these mutaions total 7 points or more this reduction is increased to a -2 penalty. Each mutation point also costs 1 freebie point. You may take Deficiencies, Debilities and Deformities for "negative points" that may be used to purchase other mutations (even in excess of 10), points purchased this way do not cost freebie points and do not result in increased appearance loss, the negative Wyld mutation pays for them in full. For Lunar Exalted these apply in natural forms only but apply in ALL natural forms. If you're a wolf Beastman with a Tiger totem you look like a Chimera in DBT. In some forms these modifications may be redundant (like increased size in an elephant) and no longer apply (EXCEPTION: Health Level increases from wyld mutations remain in all forms, no matter what). It should be noted that these are not ACTUAL Wyld mutations, mutations are simply used to simulate the natural abilities of beastmen,they also in no way inhibit
Exalted's Essence.. There are drastic social consequences for the character, similar to those if the
character were a human sized, sentient (but normal looking) version of the animal in question only much worse, almost everywhere. These mutations are picked by the storyteller as appropriate to the animal in question to prevent rampant abuse. Oh, yeah, final rule note: you can't ever have a negative appearance, sorry. The 10 limit was artificial based on what it cost to create some of the wierder creatures (like spiders) with appropriate Taints, it has nothing to do with actual Wyld Mutation limits.
